Greg's Paternal Line

With the help of many others, I've traced my Johnson line back to 17th Century Scotland and Ireland when the surname was spelled "Johnstone". My ancestors first came to the U.S. via the Carolinas and then migrated along the southern states to Mississippi which is where my paternal grandfather, Joseph Emmitt Johnson, Sr. and his parents were born. As a young man, Joseph Emmitt moved from Vaiden, MS to New Orleans, LA., where many of his descendants still live today.
