My interest in genealogy began in the early 1990's with my first computer. I had a passing interest in my ancestry before then, but with no idea how to organize what little information I had on my parents and grandparents, much less how to go about researching prior generations, the interest never took hold. Then one day I stumbled across some genealogy software which allowed me to start building a family tree. Once I began keying in the data and successfully filling in the gaps here and there, often by the hardest since I didn't know what I was doing early on, I became hooked.

Over time, I also discovered there are others whose research intersected with my own; people who often turned out to be cousins of some degree of separation, but nonetheless "kin". I am eternally grateful to all of them for generously sharing their time and information.
