Manuel Molla’s Photograph Album
These photos are from Manuel Molla's photograph book. After his second wife, Theresa Couvillion, passed away in 2012, I was able to locate one her her relatives hoping that Theresa may have left behind a few photographs of my grandfather. What I received was well beyond expectations: it was my grandfather's photo album, which is a treasure trove of his memories. Most of the photos of Manuel himself are on his own page on this website. The rest are unknown family and friends. I know my grandfather revisited his birthplace at least a couple of time before his death in 1960, the last trip being 1959. Most of these photos appear to be from Valencia, although a handful may stem from the New Orleans area, which is where he lived after arriving in the US and where he was living at the time of his death.
Below are scans of the photographs in the order in which they appear in his album. I've scanned the back of the photo if any writing or dates are present. I've numbered the photos and added descriptions to those I can identify. Click on the photos to read the comments.
If anyone knows or can confirm the identity of any individuals or any locations, please contact me at metryman4525.aol.com. Enjoy the photos!
